Urine bag

A urine bag is a medical device used to collect urine, mainly suitable for people who cannot urinate independently or need to monitor urine volume due to diseases, surgeries, injuries, etc., such as postoperative patients, paralyzed patients, intensive care patients, and patients after total cystectomy.
It usually consists of a transparent bag body (for easy observation of urine), a catheter connecting the urethra or bladder, a drainage port for urine discharge, and fixing devices (such as hooks, straps, etc.). Urine is drained from the body through a catheter and temporarily stored in a bag. When the urine reaches a certain amount, it can be discharged through the drainage port, helping patients solve their difficulty urinating problems. 1.Transparent visualization
The bag body is often made of transparent plastic materials (such as PVC, polyethylene, etc.), which facilitates medical staff or users to directly observe the color of urine (normal is light yellow, transparent, abnormal may be red, brown, etc.), transparency (whether there is turbidity, sediment, flocculent matter) and urine volume, and timely detect changes in the condition (such as hematuria, infection, etc.).
2. Accurate scale
The surface of the bag is usually printed with clear capacity scales (such as 50ml, 100ml, 500ml, 1000ml, etc.), which facilitate accurate recording of hourly or daily urine volume, especially for critically ill patients, renal insufficiency patients and other populations that need to monitor the inflow and outflow.
3. Sealed and leak proof
The interface (connected to the urinary catheter) and drainage port (for urine discharge) are both designed with sealed structures (such as screw caps, silicone plugs, clips, etc.), which can effectively prevent urine leakage, avoid contaminating clothing, bedding units or the environment, and reduce odor emission.
4. Material adaptability
The material of the catheter and bag body should have the characteristics of resistance to urine corrosion and non irritation. Some products use silicone or medical grade PVC to reduce irritation to the urethral mucosa or skin, and are suitable for long-term use.
